Wide Bore MRI for Prince Edward Island
Radiant Medical Systems offers MRI imaging on a 1.5T wide bore scanner. With a 70 cm wide bore and adaptive coil technology, it is designed to support a more comfortable and accessible patient experience, with images interpreted by Royal College certified radiologists.

70 cm Wide Bore MRI
The GE SIGNA Champion 1.5T features a 70 cm wide bore that is designed to improve patient comfort and accessibility. Compared with traditional 60 cm bore systems, the wider opening creates more space, helping reduce anxiety and making the experience more manageable for claustrophobic or larger patients.
- 70 cm wide bore for a more open scan experience
- 1.5 Tesla field strength in a compact system
- More space than traditional 60 cm bore scanners
- Designed to be more accommodating for claustrophobic and larger patients
Deep-Learning Image Reconstruction
Our scanner uses deep-learning-based image reconstruction, which is designed to support image clarity while helping reduce scan times. Actual results depend on the body part, protocol, patient factors, and clinical indication.
- Deep-learning-based image reconstruction
- Designed to support shorter scan times for some protocols
- Images produced for radiologist interpretation
- Scan approach tailored to the clinical indication
Adaptive, Lightweight Coils
Traditional MRI coils can feel heavy and restrictive. The adaptive coils used on our scanner are lightweight and flexible, with weight distributed to reduce pressure points, which is designed to help patients feel more at ease during a scan.
- Adaptive design with broad coverage
- Lighter than conventional coils
- Flexible, low-profile design for a range of sizes and ages
- No snapping or locking required
- Conforms to the body

Adaptive Coil Technology
Our facility uses adaptive anterior array and multi-purpose coils, giving technologists positioning flexibility to image a range of anatomy. Whether it's a knee, shoulder, or larger area, these coils can be positioned close to the region being imaged.
- Adaptive anterior array and multi-purpose coils
- Designs suited to a range of anatomies
- Lighter than previous-generation coils
- Positioning flexibility for hard-to-scan areas
- Images produced for radiologist interpretation
